Back from Mars--I mean New York

Just got back from NY and Janice and I actually got some Galaxy Girl work done (thank you again, Janice!!) Here are some Mars poses in both sketch and final form.

And for those of you who are curious, here are some pictures of the Foster's float in New York!! We had fun even though it rained.

Mr. Herriman was on the back of float and couldn't be seen on the performance on TV. Here he is trying desperately to keep dry before the parade.

Ed all wrapped up.

Coco!!

For those of you who didn't catch it, here it is!! The camera work left a little bit to be desired, but the puppets turned out great and the house is GORGEOUS!! (Thanks to Sparky of Never Forgotten for recording and posting the performance)

Foster's Float - Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade 2006

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was as good as mine!

Over and out,

ha! I wish we could. I think the float is scheduled to appear in the parade for 2 more years. We're hoping to eventually snag one of the Bloo puppets!

Floats great. love the mars poses to (She's the eccentric one of the group, right?).

FYI I just saw Good Wilt Hunting. It was gorgreous. Especially the "Lawn Ranger" stills: they look like they were hand painted. Was it watercolor? Marker? Digital?

Kudos to you a your husband and I can't wait for season 5.

elephantmarchblog--- I'm glad you liked Good Wilt Hunting. We're very proud of it!! Those Lawn Ranger stills were painted in gouache by our colorist Tim Barnes. He's awesome!! He did the stills in Bloo Done It, also.

Enjoy Season 5!!

Wow this stills in Bloo done it were Gouache? I thought for sure they were some kind of dry media (pastels for instance.)

Thanks for the insight.

Very nice Lauren. Thanks for posting the float pics. It looked bigger in TV. Wilts big floppy arm looked really good too.

Holy Solar Sisterhood! You know you've made it when puppet versions of your characters are singing in the rain in front of Macy's. Brilliant!

Lol I had no idea you posted my vid in your blog. (Maybe that's why I still get occasional waves of comments on it.) I hadn't seen those photos before, I'd heard Mr H was on the back of the float but never saw him before. Even covered up he's awesome. :)
