Somebody in Japan likes me!

Well.... likes "Urnus," anyway. I found this piece of fanart on the web on what I think is a Powerpuff Girls fansite (ReadMe!Girls!) The headline reads "Chris Battle Blog & Foster's." Chris is a friend of mine who I worked with on Powerpuff, and Foster's is the show I'm working on now, but I have no idea what that has to do with Uranus. The rest of the text on the page is in Japanese, so I guess I'll never know. In any case, it's insanely flattering to find fanart, so I had to share!!!

Over and out,
Mother Earth

P.S.-- If anyone can read Japanese, let me know!!!

Hmmm...I guess the assumption is that people who liked PPG and Foster's would like Galaxy girls as well. Not neccicerily an outlandish assumption mind you(the look of Galaxy Girls is very reminicent of the Powerpuffs), but I wouldn't have suspected that people in Japan would know about them. But it's interesting isn't it? Back in the day when PPG was at it's zeneith in popularity wasn't there a huge, devoted fanbase in Japan? Oh well, I guess publicity like this is a good thing though right?

Good to hear that Foster's is still in production. Hopefully it gets more than the standard 52 episodes.

I´m happy you found more fanart about your characters( well, if may I say so... me too, since it´s so good to know about other people sharing the same fandom ); so, thank you for creating them, and telling about other people like us!

P.S.:

Hope you don´t mind( if you do, please tell and I´d ask an apology )if I ask you, but... isn´t your birthday near?

Actually, I´m with a batch of unscanned mwgg fanart( for now; but, since I got access to that equipment again, I could deal it ), so I thought...

Well, best wishes to you.

I ran the site though Babelfish, and got all English words, but I'm still not sure what they actually said! It did seem complimentary, though.

Craig tried translating it last night, and the same thing happened to him! As far as I can gather, it just looks like the page is devoted to the personal blogs and sites of the crew of Powerpuff Girls. My site is just included. Still, I'm flattered they did their own rendering of Uranus!!

Why yes...yes Mrs. Faust I would be happy to hear that. It's very, very good news you or Mr. McCrackin should share it with our dear Toonzone friends, or on the Foster's blog. I'm sure the other Foster's fans would love to hear it.

So if I'm getting this right this person was a PPG fan who's just linking to the sights of various former PPG staff members. Interesting. I think I've read a few blogs/websites from former PPG staff members. Of course there's this one, and the Foster's blog. Rob Renzeti posted on Teenage Roblog naturally, Don Shank had a blog I think. I know I've seen Lynne Naylor and Chris Reccardi's respective websites. Shannon Tindle has a blog (I know he designs for Foster's, but was he on PPG as well?) Anyway, I'm sure there are others as well.

Hey, Lauren! Who knew yo had such a big presence in blog-space? Not me, I guess. Found out about your sites from Sukaponta-san's (ReadMe!Girls!)blog. Turns out I know a few Japanese girls who've provided a little traslation for me ;)

I'll have to write down what it's all about for ya sometime. (Looks like you've gotten the gist of it, tho...)

The girls look cool! Nice finesse-ing.
